About BSI Management Systems

Accreditation

What is Accreditation?

Accreditation is when an organization that provides certification, testing and inspection services is assessed by a third party against internationally recognized standards. It demonstrates the organization?s competence, impartiality and performance capability and is the key to reducing risk and ensuring that consumers, suppliers and purchasers can have confidence in the services provided.

BSI Management Systems is among the most respected and reputable management systems certification bodies in the world and is accredited by a number of local and international bodies including the American National Accreditation Board (ANAB); the China National Accreditation Board (CNAB); the Japan Accreditation Board (JAB); Raad voor Accreditatie (RvA) in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).

To enable us to provide a cost-effective service, we regularly review our accreditation schemes. Following a review in June 2005, the decision was made to provide United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accreditation worldwide, with local well-known and credible accreditation as appropriate to our customer requirements and the local market needs.  Consequently, we no longer provide worldwide Raad voor Accreditatie (RvA) accreditation, although it remains the accreditation of choice for our clients in the Benelux countries.
