Standards
PAS 99, as well as the standards mentioned below, are available to purchase from the BSI British Standards' Online Shop.
The majority of systems which we assess to as part of an Integrated Assessment are based on international standards, such as:
-
Quality Management
ISO 9000 - a family of standards developed to provide a framework around which a quality management system can effectively be based.
-
Environmental Management
ISO 14001 - an international standard that specifies a process for controlling and improving a companys environmental performance.
-
Occupational Health & Safety
OHSAS 18001 - an assessment specification for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
-
Information Security Management Systems
ISO 27001 (previously BS 7799) and ISO 17799 are designed to help establish and maintain an effective information security management system using a continual improvement approach.
-
IT Service Management
ISO 20000 (previously BS 15000) specifies the requirements for an effective IT service management system and is the foundation for third-party audit and certification.
-
Food Safety
Numerous food safety standards exist for all parts of the food chain and include retailer-driven prescriptive standards, such as BRC Global Food, and those that specify the requirements for a food safety management system, such as ISO 22000.
